Sterilizing and Disinfecting Shade Guides

 

VITA® Shade Guides can be autoclaved up to a maximum temperature of 284ºF (140ºC).

Steam autoclaves are recommended.

 

CAUTION: All Classic shade guides sold prior to January 2011 cannot withstand autoclaving. To determine if your guide can be autoclaved, the front of the guide should look like:
Alternatively, the Shade Guides can be disinfected at the surface.  Please avoid disinfectants containing phenol, methyl ethyl ketone or iodine, as they are harmful to the materials constructing the shade guide.
