In-Ceram® Zirconia

VITA In-Ceram® Zirconia, with its very high strength, is indicated for single unit posterior and three-unit posterior bridges. In-Ceram Zirconia has a moderate level of translucency and a flexural strength of over 700 MPa.

VITA In-Ceram ZIRCONIA (Al2O3/ZrO2) is Al2O3 strengthened with zirconium oxide. Due to its high tear tenacity, it is indicated for the fabrication of highly stable oxide-ceramic frameworks. The addition of this material to the existing VITA In-Ceram system means the system can now also be used to fabricate three-unit posterior bridges with one pontic.

After glass infiltration firing, during which the sintered frameworks retain their final strength and individual coloring, they are veneered with VITA VM 7 fine-structure ceramic.

Features/Benefits:

VITA In-Ceram ZIRCONIA has the highest masking power of all oxide-ceramic systems, making it particularly useful for masking highly discolored tooth stumps.

Due to their high strength, restorations made from VITA In-Ceram Zirconia offer the possibility of non-adhesive cementation.

Thanks to the addition of Ce-stabilized ZrO2, it has a higher tear tenacity than pure Al2O3.
